Who We Support

Care and support across adult and children's social care

Velox provides care, support and staffing solutions across social care settings, supporting individuals, families, local authorities, ICB teams and care providers across the UK.

We provide support at home, in the community and across a range of adult and children's social care settings, including supported living, supported accommodation, residential services and existing care services.

Our teams work with children, young people and adults who may need additional support with behavioural challenges, learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, family circumstances, placement instability, crisis situations or changes in care arrangements.

Why Velox

Support that goes beyond filling shifts

Velox is built for services that need more than names on a rota.

We provide skilled support workers and specialist care staff who understand the setting, the risks and the importance of safe, consistent and person-centred support.

Our role is to help services maintain stability, reduce pressure and deliver reliable support when care needs become urgent, complex or difficult to manage.

Why services choose Velox:

Care and support provision

We support individual care packages, community-based support, family support, crisis response and complex needs provision.

Suitable people, not just available people

We match staff to the individual, the setting and the support required, considering experience, suitability, training and the nature of the care environment.

Rapid response when pressure is high

We can support urgent referrals, placement instability, workforce gaps, transition periods and crisis situations.

Experience across complex needs

Our teams support people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, complex behaviours, SEMH needs and other support requirements.

Flexible support models

We can work within existing services or support more managed provision, depending on the person's needs and the commissioning arrangement.

We stay involved, keeping communication open with professionals, families and services so support remains consistent and accountable.

Referral Process

How referrals work

We keep the process clear, quick and practical.

Step 1

Send a referral

Local authorities, ICB teams, care providers or families can contact Velox with the support requirement.

This may include details about the person's needs, location, risks, current setting, support hours, start date and any existing care plans.

Step 2

We review the need

Our team reviews the referral to understand the individual's needs, the setting, the level of support required and any risks or safeguarding considerations.

Where needed, we will clarify details before support is arranged.

Step 3

Suitable support is identified

We identify suitable support workers or specialist care staff based on experience, training, availability and suitability for the individual and setting.

This is not just about filling a shift. It is about putting the right people into the right environment.

Step 4

Support is mobilised

Once agreed, Velox mobilises support quickly, whether for urgent cover, planned care, a short-term arrangement or longer-term provision.

Ongoing

We maintain communication and oversight

Our team remains available for updates, feedback, quality assurance and ongoing communication throughout the support arrangement.

We consider the individual's needs, the setting, the level of support required and the experience needed before allocating support.

Person-centred support

Support is shaped around the person's needs, preferences, goals, routines and wider care plan.

We maintain communication with services and professionals to support continuity, consistency and quality.
